Hello, my name is Bryony. I am the founder and operator of Bark About Sydney. Bark About Sydney launched 2 years ago and I never imagined in my wildest dreams it would have taken off the way it did and have had the pleasure of working with so many dogs and their incredible owners. But it turns out news spread quick around the Eastern Suburbs dog parks about our pack walks! I decided to start Bark About Sydney after I saw a huge demand for quality dog walking in the area, a community of people that adored their dogs and wanted to fill their days with fun adventures, socialisation and mental stimulation when they weren't home or too busy.
I love caring for dogs and pride myself on providing the very best service for all dogs in my care and their owners. I offer an experienced and professional service specialising in small group off leash adventures around the Eastern Suburbs. I also offer other services such as mobile doggy daycare, house visits, puppy school and lots more.
I am originally from the UK but have been living in Australia for 4 years now. Ever since I was young I have had a huge love for dogs and would pester my parents none stop about getting one. I would walk all the dogs in my neighbourhood for the elderly people that lived near us and I also took several of those dogs to dog agility school and trained them for their owners. I even won a competition once and got featured in the newspaper. I was dog OBSESSED from a very young age and spending time with them gave me so much joy and made me so happy and that love and passion has just grown more and more over the years.
I myself am a dog owner to a beautiful miniature dachshund called Mr Piccolo, he joins us on pack walks most days and has the best time ever on our adventures. I also grew up with a beautiful staffy called Blue who will always be know as the golden child in our family. I treat my clients dogs the way I would want my dogs to be treated with buckets full of love, care and attention because they deserve nothing less.
Choosing the right dog walker can be hard and it’s a big decision to make.
I have asked my clients a lot about what they think about the services provided and professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, reliable, caring, punctual and safe are always words that are brought up and left in reviews and it makes me feel very happy that our clients feel this way about Bark About Sydney and I hope it gives new clients comfort and reassurance about using our services.
I would love for our dogs to be able to tell you themselves what they get up to on their days out with the pack and how much fun they have but I am pretty sure if they could it would go something like this..
“We run, we sniff, we play, we dive in puddles, sometimes even swim in them, we relax in the shade, we hang with our friends safely, we explore lots of different parks, we snore most the way home, we are spoilt with lots of love, cuddles and kisses, we have lots of water stops and always get reinforced with yummy treats for good behaviour, we learn tricks, practice recall, we always feel safe, we are always having fun and we go home tired, happy and socialised”.
I always like to arrange a free meet and greet with potential new clients to give you the opportunity to meet me in person, I can then also meet your dog and talk over your requirements to make sure we are a good fit for each other.
So why not contact us today to arrange a free meet and greet and see for yourself why Bark About Sydney is the perfect choice for you and your dog!
Please take a look at our reviews and find out what our clients think of us and follow us on social media to see what we get up to with the dogs on a daily basis.
We are insured, police checked & canine first aid trained.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Arranging a meet and greet is simple. Fill out our contact us form with as much detail as possible and we will get back to you ASAP. Alternatively you can give us a call, send us a text, a whatsapp message or an email instead. If we are able to help with your enquiry we will arrange a day/time that suits you to come to your home and meet yourself and your dog to talk over your requirements in more detail and run through things like how to access the property etc.
We provide all our services throughout Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Some areas we cover are Bondi, Bondi Junction, Bellevue Hill, Bronte, Clovelly, Randwick, Coogee, Dover Heights & more. If you're unsure if we cover your area please contact us.
We run 3-4 group walks a day Monday-Friday. Group walk times are 8am, 10am, 12pm and 2:30pm. Saturdays we also run an 8am and 10am group.
Group walks are 1 full hour at an off leash dog park plus pick up/drop off time on top. Group walks are usually anywhere between 1.5-2 hours depending on where dogs are on the pick up/drop off route that day. Times may vary week to week depending on the route taken that day, group size, traffic, weather and cancellations.
Mobile doggy daycare is 2 group walks per day. Daycare dogs are always picked up first and usually dropped back last so are usually out for 4 hours or more.
Yes we walk in all weather conditions! Rain or shine you can assure we will be out on our adventures. We will only ever cancel walks in extreme weather conditions such as thunderstorms or extreme heat for the safety of dogs and walker.
Bryony the operator and founder of Bark About Sydney will personally be walking/looking after your dog.
We go to a variety of different parks each day. Some of the parks we walk at are Rodney Reserve, Astrolabe Park, Queens Park and Centennial Parklands.
We try are best to keep dogs as clean as possible while out on our adventure walks but dogs will be dogs so if it has been raining your dog may come home wet and muddy. I always say to owners it completely depends on the dog, if you have a dog that loves mud and puddles and usually gets dirty on your own walks they will most likely be the same on our adventures. If you have a dog that doesn’t like mud, puddles and always says clean they will most likely come home clean. Either way we always try our best to wipe down/dry off all dogs with a towel at the end of each walk.
This is completely up to the client and arrangements are organised with each client individually depending on their preference. We do recommend providing a spare key which we can keep in a safe place and labelled. However many owners like to use lockboxes which we can use to gain access to the key to the house or leave keys in letterboxes or whatever they choose. Alternatively some owners are home when we come to collect dogs for daycare or walks so keys are not needed. Please note if we have come to the property to collect the dog for a walk or other service and no key has been left out for us to gain access to the property to collect the dog the service will still be charged in full.
